This month’s results are posted below. These cards reveal your specific message for the Scorpio New Moon that takes place on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 5:38 am UT (1:38pm EDT).
This New Moon occurs at 7° Scorpio 43.
The following cards represent nine different areas of focus. They’re tied to the Moon’s conjunction to the planets as she moves through her 28-day lunar cycle.
The messages outlined below were derived from the Sabian Symbols, which are a set of 360 symbols — each associated with a different degree of the zodiac — that were devised by medium Elsie Wheeler and astrologer Marc Edmund Jones in 1925.
Here are the interpretations for each of the positions, starting with card 1:
Card 1 — Sun conjunct the Moon (New Moon)
If you picked this card, the energy of the Sun conjunct the Moon (or the Scorpio New Moon) will resonate with you during this lunar cycle. This aspect occurs on October 30th at the 8th degree of Scorpio.
The New Moon brings an opportunity to start new, and this month with it falling in Scorpio — the sign associated with depth, exploration and transformation — the emphasis is on gaining a deeper awareness into the workings of ourselves.
The Sabian Symbol for this degree is “The moon shining across a lake.” And while the Moon in this image is Full, the New Moon reminds us that each lunar cycle carries us through an entire spectrum of emotional experience.
This symbol represents the need to not only get in touch with our emotions, but to shine a light on all that we may have kept hidden beneath the surface and examine it more clearly.
This is especially true with the Scorpio Moon. It wants to go deep and to understand that which is not always apparent to others. It wants to explore and understand the deepest darkest regions of its own psyche.
Take some time this month to get in touch with your emotions, and see if you can shed some light some light on areas that you may kept yourself in the dark about in the past. It’s also a good time to reflect on where you fit in and how you can bring illumination and enlightenment to others.
Card 2 — Moon conjunct Mercury
If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon conjunct Mercury, which will take place at the 10th degree of Scorpio on October 30th .
The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “A fellowship supper reawakens unforgettable inner ties.” It speaks of interacting and reconnecting with others — especially those you may have fallen out of touch with in recent months.
Mercury is all about communing with others. Sharing ideas and exchanging information. It represents speaking as well and listening and teaching as well as learning. But it’s most importantly about connecting with others and feeling a part of something in which you feel welcome and appreciated.
If you’ve been isolating lately or have found yourself shying away from social invitations, now is the time to rethink that strategy. You may be surprised to learn how much your presence has been missed.
This month you want to find a way to get back into the groove and look for opportunities to interact with others. Especially those you feel safe with and who allow you to be yourself.
There’s an element of lightness and spontaneity depicted in this image. And that fits the Mercury archetype very well. But remember that Mercury is now in Scorpio. So don’t hesitate to bring those deeper, more intimate, more insightful discussions to the table.
Card 3 — Moon conjunct Saturn
If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon and Saturn will resonate with you during this cycle. This aspect occurs on November 2nd at the 5th degree of Sagittarius.
The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “The ground hog looking for its shadow.”
This Symbol indicates a natural ability to have a good “read” on things and to interpret signs and symbols in meaningful ways. It speaks of being observant, aware and aligned with all that is going on around you.
You may be the one who people turn to when they have a question or concern. But does that also lead to feeling pressured? This is a hallmark of the Saturn influence. Being the one who is looked up to by others, and feeling the weight of responsibility as a result.
There are elements here of needing to get your head above the ground, or needing to come up for air, and both of these also fit the Saturn archetype. But remember that Saturn is more than hard work and responsibility. It’s also wisdom, soulfulness and consistency.
Take the time this month to remind yourself of how much you are valued by others. Not just through your tendency to read them like a book, but by your ability to lead them and guide them and offer them solid workable solutions.
Card 4 — Moon conjunct Venus
If you picked this card, the Moon conjunct Venus will resonate with you during this cycle. This transit occurs on November 3rd at the 20th degree of Sagittarius.
The Sabian symbol for this degree is: “People cutting through ice, for summer use.” There were lots of images that came to mind for this symbol, but keeping the conjunction to Venus in mind, an image of the creation of a beautiful ice sculpture came to mind.
There are definitely references to thinking ahead and preparing for the future inherent in this Symbol. It can also refer to barriers that can create a divide between you and your emotions (the water beneath the surface of an icy pond).
But the upside — one more befitting of the Moon / Venus conjunction — is that the ace of cutting through all that brings what has been shut off to the surface.
It speaks of being more accessible and open. Of overcoming shortages and barriers in your life, and also “breaking the ice” in social settings.
Remember though this is a Venus transit. Venus is tied to love, beauty, comfort and cooperation. Your goal this month should be to see where you can make breakthroughs in all of these areas.
Card 5 — Moon conjunct Mars
If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon conjunct Mars will resonate with you during this lunar cycle. This aspect occurs on November 6th at the 28th degree of Capricorn.
The Sabian Symbol for this degree is “A large aviary.” Here we see a beautiful exotic bird all alone in an enclosed environment.
It’s probably safe to say there are many other birds in this aviary, and that as birds are social creatures there’s also probably a lot of chattering and interacting with one another going on.
But there are also elements of wanting to escape and be free and to boldly go where no man (or bird) has gone before that generally accompany Mars transits.
The Moon / Mars conjunction (especially in Capricorn where Mars is dignified but the Moon is debilitated) may see you feeling torn between staying in your comfort zone (the Moon) and wanting to fly the coop. It may also see you longing for the company of like-minded friends (birds of a feather).
While you may experience periods of restlessness this month — and you may at times feel trapped or caged in — remember that Mars in Capricorn knows just how to make the best of any situation and will always come out on top.
Card 6 — Moon conjunct Neptune Rx
If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon Moon conjunct Neptune Rx will resonate for you during this cycle.
The Sabian Symbol for the 1st degree of Libra is: “An aviator in the clouds.” And while you might first think of a pilot with a small engine plane when you picture this symbol, the Neptune influence reminds you that there are other ways to reach for the sky.
Neptune is currently in Pisces (the sign it rules) and retrograde. So there’s emphasis on inspiration, visualization and dreams.
And while there may be a need for caution against being unrealistic — as in having your head clouds — there’s nothing wrong with allowing yourself to dream and dream big.
Neptune (and thus this conjunction to the Moon) is also conjunct the South Node for a better part of the month. It can see you taking a trip down memory lane, thinking about the past, and reconnecting with loved ones from days gone by. It can also bring in past life-connections, so pay attention to people you meet during this time.
This month you want to immerse yourself in things that inspire you and lift you up, whether literally (as in taking a trip by air) or figuratively (as in embarking on a new spiritual study). And don’t forget to follow your dreams. Especially after the 20th, when Neptune goes direct.
Card 7 — Moon conjunct Uranus Rx
If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon conjunct Uranus Rx will resonate with you during this cycle. This aspect occurs November 12th at the 22nd degree of Aries.
The Sabian symbol for this degree is “The gate to the garden of desire.” This symbol refers to a world of unexpected (Uranus) opportunities that are opening for those who are daring (Aries) enough to seek them.
There are some risks involved with pursuing your desires. And fears that you may have to face to attain them.
What if you knock at the door and no one answers? Or what if the gate opens wide and you discover that whatever is behind it is not at all what you thought it would be?
The Moon / Uranus conjunction can bring unforeseen opportunities and unexpected changes. And the path that leads to those may be full of twists and turns.
The path in this image is overflowing with vibrant and fragrant flowers. Their beauty is mesmerizing and lures you toward the gate. But the gate itself is dark and imposing.
You may have to move past your fears and muster up all of your courage this month if you want to cross that threshold before you. While it’s bound to be exciting, you won’t know until you get there what’s on the other side.
Card 8 — Moon conjunct North Node
If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon conjunct the North Node will resonate with you during this lunar cycle. This aspect occurs on November 21st at the 9th degree of Virgo.
The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “A man making a futurist drawing.” This is an interesting symbol for this conjunction as the North Node does represent the future, with specific emphasis on karma that you are creating (or resolving) during this lifetime.
This symbol speaks of having an eye on the future, being ahead of your time, being able to tap into trends that are on the horizon long before everyone else catches up.
You may find yourself having premonitions and experiencing profound psychic insights during this period. Especially because the Moon will automatically conjunct the South Node at the same time, and will also oppose Neptune.
This is the mark of the artist, the poet, the dreamer and the visionary (Moon / Neptune). And the Nodes speak of taking information from the past (South Node) to make way for the future (North Node).
Pay attention to your dreams this month, as well as any signs or clues you come across that seem meaningful in some way. This is a time of heightened psychic awareness which can open your eyes to changes in your life as well as the world around you.
Card 9 — Moon conjunct Jupiter
If you choose this card, the energy of the Moon conjunct Jupiter will resonate with you during this lunar cycle. This aspect occurs on November 24th at the 16th degree of Libra.
The Sabian Symbol for this degree is “A boat landing washed away.“This symbol refers to the need to acknowledge personal setbacks in your life and get busy figuring out how you are going to rebuild.
Sometimes these setbacks come as a blessing in disguise. We are after all talking about Jupiter, the planet that is related to fortune, expansion and opportunity.
You may need to look around you and see what has been washed away in your own life and ask yourself whether it hasn’t been for the best?
It gives you a chance to clear away the debris in your life, and start fresh.
With respect to the Jupiter conjunction, nothing says “expanding your horizons” like Jupiter — Oh, and a boat landing being washed away.
The message for you this month is to trust that the Universe has something bigger, better and more aligned with your destiny this month, that whatever it was you’ve just watched slip away. Be open to new opportunities to learn, grow and rebuild.
