You can also select a card from the original New Moon reading post, published earlier this week.

This month’s results are posted below. These cards reveal your specific message for the Pisces New Moon that takes place on Sunday, February 26th at 14:58 UT (or 9:58 am EST).

This New Moon occurs at 8° Pisces 58″. The Sabian symbol for this degree is: “The race begins: a jockey spurs his horse to great speed.”

The following cards represent twelve different areas of focus. The represent the Moon’s transit trough each degree of every sign throughout her 28-day lunar cycle.

There is one card for each of the 12 different zodiac signs. These messages are derived from the Sabian Symbols, which were developed in 1925 when clairvoyant Elsie Wheeler and astrologer Marc Edmund Jones received messages from the world of spirit for every degree of the zodiac.

If you would like where (in which house or area of life) your symbol takes place for you, feel free to post your birth information (date — spelled out, time and place of birth) — in the comments section below, and we’ll be happy to look at it and let you know.

The messages outlined below were derived from the Sabian Symbols, which were devised by medium Elsie Wheeler and astrologer Marc Edmund Jones in 1925.

Here are the interpretations for each of the positions, starting with card 1:

Card 1 — 25º  Aquarius: A butterfly with the right wing more perfectly formed.

If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 25th degree of Aquarius will resonate with you during this lunar cycle. The Moon transits this point on March 25th.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “A butterfly with the right wing more perfectly formed.” This symbol refers to the need to restore the balance in our lives.

We may be relying too heavily on creativity and intuition (right-brain), at the expense of logic and rational thinking (left brain). Or this symbol could refer to political leanings (taking the term “right wing” more literally). Either way, there’s an understanding that things are not in perfect symmetry and that leaning too far one way or the other could lead to problems.

Another thought — with respect to the butterfly symbolism — is that there is beauty in imperfection, and that differences — even physical handicaps — can enhance our understanding of what beauty represents.

The butterfly is a symbol of metamorphosis and transformation. It also represents weightlessness, buoyancy, “luck.”

The message for you this month is to see yourself on the verge of an important new cycle. Major changes are afoot for you, whether they happen over time or they happen all at once. The key is to see yourself as that imperfect butterfly: a work in progress, ever growing, changing and transforming.

Card 2 — 17º Cancer: The seed grows into knowledge and life.

If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 17th degree of Cancer will resonate with you during this cycle. This aspect takes place — in close opposition to Pluto — on March 7th.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “The seed grows into knowledge and life.” It indicates a work in progress; an understanding that something is germinating and growing but not yet ready to bloom.

You may feel that you’re on the verge of a major breakthrough. You may be seeing opportunities to rise in your profession, or you may feel that you’re nearing the end of an important finish line. This symbol reminds you that you’re not quite ready. There is still work to be done — and knowledge to be gained — before you reach that pinnacle.

This is a time for growing and evolving. It’s a time for stretching yourself upwards toward “the light.” While you may feel impatient to see the fruits of your labors, the Universe says, “not yet.”

Take this time to evaluate the progress that you’ve made — in whatever area of your life you’re focused on — while laying out plans for the future. The seed growing into knowledge and life is a metaphor for your soul’s evolution. It tells you that while there is still more to come, the strides you’ve already made are equally important.

Card 3 — 7° Sagittarius: Cupid knocking at the door of a human heart.

If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 7th degree of Sagittarius will resonate with you during this cycle. This takes place on March 19th.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “Cupid knocking at the door of a human heart. It speaks of opening your heart to love and allowing it to come in.

You may be reeling from a recent heartache or loss. And perhaps you’ve been reluctant to risk being hurt again. But this symbol encourages you set aside your fears and take a chance on love.

Sometimes love knocks and we don’t even hear it. We’re distracted by other issues or are busy insulating ourselves against the unknown. But love comes in many forms and because of this it’s important to open our minds as well.

This transit will trine both Venus and Mars — astrology’s traditional love planets. With Venus and Mars both in Aries, the urge to dive in head first may be strong. But Venus is debilitated (by sign) and will be retrograde by then as well.

Because of this, you may need to temper some of your enthusiasm with some good old-fashioned common sense. But as long as you’re ready to put your heart on the line, you can expect that door to be opened and for love to be waiting on the other side.

Card 4 — 19º Taurus: A new continent rising out of the ocean.

If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 19th degree of Taurus will resonate with you during this cycle. This takes place on March 3rd.

The Sabian symbol for this degree is: “A new continent rising out of the ocean.” It speaks of new discoveries and adventures, as well as a desire to explore uncharted territories.

You may have been stuck on “auto-pilot” in recent weeks, going through the motions of functioning in your day-to-day life. When suddenly out of nowhere new interests or opportunities arise, and this card says it’s time to check them out.

The Moon is exalted in Taurus, meaning that it’s a revered placement. An exalted planet or luminary is said to express its clearest and purest essence in that sign, in this case it’s the calm, gentle, fertile sign of Taurus.

This archetype is all about building, cultivating and developing, so keep in mind there is still work to be done. There are brand new worlds to navigate and brand new territories to explore.

The “new continent” aspect of this card refers to something new and unfinished. It’s like a blank canvas waiting for you to paint your first strokes on it. Where you go — and what you do — from here on out is almost entirely up to you.

Card 5 — 9º Gemini: A quiver filled with arrows.

If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 9th degree of Gemini will resonate with you during this cycle. This takes place on March 5th.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is ” A quiver filled with arrows.”This is an interesting symbol for this position, as it also conjuncts the fixed star Aldebaran, which is one of the four Royal Stars and associated with the archangel Michael. Michael was known as both a warrior and protector, a facilitator of peace who was not opposed to taking up arms.

There is a peaceful warrior energy associated with this card. The arrows are nestled safely in their holster but are also readily accessible. And with respect to the communications aspect associated with the Gemini Moon, the same can be said for words. There may be a need to “hold your tongue” at times, and speak out only when you have something important to say.

There’s also a Biblical reference regarding a quiver filled with arrows, which speaks of being “blessed” when facing your opponents. Keep in mind that the focus in this context is on refraining from their use.

This symbol represents courage, composure and grace under fire. It indicates the ability to know when to hold back and when to take aim. If you have a message to deliver, make sure that it’s done with precision. But keep in mind that the most powerful tool at your disposal may very well be personal restraint.

Card 6 — 16º Leo: Brilliant sunshine just after a storm.

If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 16th degree of Leo will resonate with you during this cycle. This takes place on March 9th.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “Brilliant sunshine just after a storm.” It speaks of washing away our problems and being able to see things from a new, brighter and clearer perspective.

We know that storms can be unsettling in the moment, and they can even be destructive. But they’re a necessary means of clearing and cleansing away the debris in our lives, both literally and figuratively.

You may be coming out of a trying emotional period. Or you may be searching for that silver lining in the midst of storms you’re weathering now.

The “brilliant sunshine” tells us that all is not lost. It reminds us that the worst is over and that there are better days ahead. There is warmth and renewal all around us, bringing us a ray of hope for the future.

This symbol speaks of gaining insight into the natural ups and downs in our lives — getting through our darkest hours as we look toward better days. It represents the ability to move past our trials and tribulations, clearing away the debris and putting the past behind us.

Card 7 — 26º Pisces: A new moon that divides its influences.

If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 26th degree of Pisces will resonate with you during this cycle. This takes place on February 27th and again just before the next (Aries) New Moon, on March 28th.

The Sabian symbol for this degree is “A new moon that divides its influences.” It’s interesting to note that the symbol itself speaks of dual influences at a point that is transitted twice.

It’s also the degree that Venus and Chiron conjunct — and where the upcoming Venus retrograde will turn stationary direct, in mid-April.

This month’s New Moon is also in Pisces, at an earlier degree. But this transit squares Saturn (both times), reminding us that there are bound to be obstacles along the way.

You may feel like you’re being pulled in two different directions this month, or torn between competing desires. You may be conflicted about your job, your relationship, or decisions that are weighing heavily on your mind. Or you may be striving to move forward in your life while still holding onto the past.

Like the symbol associated with Pisces, you may feel like you’re swimming in two different directions. Or you may be faced with a need to leave something (or someone behind). Whatever decisions you’re confronted with this month, know that in order to move forward, you’re going to have let go of the past.

Card 8 — 29º Capricorn: A woman reading tea leaves.

If you picked this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 29th degree of Capricorn will resonate with you during this cycle. This takes place on March 23rd.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “A woman reading tea leaves. It represents a need to find answers and a desire to seek the meaning behind even the most random events.

The 29th degree of any sign is called an “anaretic” degree and is associated with fate, karma and destiny. With this in mind, this transit may indicate an increase in synchronistic events or deja vu experiences.

You may find yourself experiencing a renewed interest in esoteric studies during this time. You may decide to research or immerse yourself in studying the different mystery schools: astrology, numerology, tarot and various forms of divination.

This is a time for looking deeper into the messages you receive. But the downside to this symbol is the potential for engaging in magical thinking: reading too much into things or ascribing special meaning to events that just aren’t there.

This is a time for deciphering hidden messages and unraveling secrets of your own. Pay attention to messages you receive during this time and be mindful of those you send out to others. Even if they don’t make sense now, they may be meaningful for you down the road.

Card 9 — 17º Virgo: A volcanic eruption

If you chose this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 17th degree of Virgo will resonate with you during this cycle. This takes place on March 12th.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is “A volcanic eruption.” It speaks of the potential for cataclysmic events to occur and upset our carefully constructed worlds. This can be scary and can see us running for cover. But look at the exquisite beauty that’s created in its wake.

The volcanic theme associated with this symbol may force you to re-evaluate some holes in your thinking — your ideas about politics, religion and philosophy.

The Virgo Full Moon occurs later on this same day. As full moons are said to provide an overview of progress you’ve made and insights into what still needs to be done, it may see you looking at what needs to be thrown out and what is going to be important to for you to try to rework and salvage.

Is it possible that you need some kind of external crisis to shake you out of your comfortable existence in order to make room for something more extraordinary to take its place?

This is a time for releasing whatever has been bottled up inside of you, especially if you’ve been feeling like you’re ready to blow. Think about what you’ve been holding onto — or in what ways you’ve been just going with the flow or maintaining the status quo — where it might have been better to wipe the slate clean and start new.

Card 10 — 29º Aries: The music of the spheres.

If you chose this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 29th degree of Aries will resonate with you during this cycle. This takes place on March 2nd.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “The music of the spheres.” This symbol refers to striving for harmony in our lives and finding meaning in our interconnections with others. This is especially relevant because the 29th degree of any sign is known as an “anaretic” degree, which are associated with karma, fate, destiny and purpose.

This symbol reminds us of the ancient Hermetic axiom “as above, so below; as within, so without.” It represents an understanding that everything we experience is part of much larger Universal rhythm, our lives a harmonic representation of the greater macrocosm.

The 29th degree of Aries is also conjunct a fixed star that — as part of a Jupiter / Saturn union occurring at the time of Christ’s birth — made up the star of Bethlehem. Accurate or not, it does reinforce sense of Universal significance that is associated with this card.

This is a time for evaluating your connections with others and seeing how they fit into your life. You may be struck by the symbiosis that’s present in all of your relationships, especially those that are nearest and dearest to your heart.

Card 11 — 5º Scorpio: A massive, rocky shore resists the pounding of the sea.

If you chose this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 5th degree of Scorpio will resonate with you during this cycle.  This takes place — with an opposition to Mars — on March 16th.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is: “A massive, rocky shore resists the pounding of the sea.” This symbol brings to mind the need to remain steadfast and unyielding, even in the presence of tempestuous outside forces.

You may be dealing with a lot of turbulence in your life, or you may find yourself braced against attack. Or you may feel like you’re in between a rock and a hard place. But the key here is the ability to remain strong and not allow whatever comes your way to weaken your resolve.

The Moon is said to be debilitated in Scorpio, with the opposition to Mars being reminiscent of the pounding of the seas. Yet with every opposition there’s a need for balance. There’s a need to find your center and integrate the opposing forces in your life, which is what this symbol requires you to do.

The “pounding of the sea” may represent tumultuous emotions, such as someone lashing out in anger or trying to back you against a wall. But the focus here is on resistance rather than acquiescence. Remember your own strength of purpose and be ready to hold your ground.

Card 12 — 22º Libra: A child giving birds a drink at a fountain.

If you chose this card, the energy of the Moon crossing the 22nd degree of Libra will resonate with you during this cycle. This transit — which conjuncts Jupiter and opposes Uranus — on March 15th.

The Sabian symbol for this degree is: “A child giving birds a drink at a fountain.” This is a beautiful symbol that refers to caring for others and providing nurturing to those who have come to rely on us for sustenance.

This transit also conjuncts the fixed star Spica, which is associated with benevolence and goodwill. How appropriate then that it refers to the act of giving, and deriving joy from that simple act.

The connection to Jupiter and Uranus — which are themselves involved in a tense opposition — implies that the remedy for dissent can be found in the desire to care for and provide for one another. This is also a common theme with the Libra archetype, which is known for putting its own needs aside and accommodating others.

This symbol speaks of taking time from our own busy lives to lend a helping hand to those who need it. There’s emphasis on getting back as much as you receive — through the pleasure that comes from helping those in need.
